Monuments documents the collaboration between Dell-Lillinger-Westergard and Mat Maneri. In 2015, DLW teamed up with the American viola virtuoso to explore a fascinating soundscape. Maneri’s style is characterised by microtonal concepts and open compositions. It fits perfectly into DLW’s structural approach and expands it in its harmonic sound space. This recording focuses on the commonality and the aspect of balance, especially between the different instrumental groupings and timbres.
